Captain Cat’s Eye

“I love you,” said Cutler, “And I will be back in 2 years and not a day more, I promise.”
“I love you too, I’ll be waiting.” Replied Kimi.

The ship sailed away never to be seen again by her eyes. As the years went by the
days grew longer and the girl’s heart grew more eager for his letters and the end of these twenty-four months.

“He should be here in exactly one month and we shall marry.” She said to herself one day as she was watching the harbor as she does every day in case he returned earlier than expected. Now that last month has past and he still hasn’t come and she fears for the worst.

“What if he found another woman? What if he’s dead? What if, what if, what if?” is all she thinks about as she sleeps, works, and every minute of every day. Twenty-four-seven, it’s on her mind.

She is becoming impatient it’s been two months since he said the time he would return. She is only willing to wait two more months and if he does not come she will find her uncle and join his crew on his privateer ship. Or maybe even join her other uncle’s junk ship.

Those two months have passed, he’s still not here.

“Susan, when Cutler gets here, if he gets here, tell him I’ve joined my uncles crew and I never want to see him again.” She said to one of her most trusted friends a day before she was to depart.

And a week later Cutler came back all sickly but still ready to marry the dairymaid that works at the governor’s mansion. But when he got off the ship he was on he was surprised to see another dairymaid, he was confused and worried that she had caught a disease and died.

“Susan, it’s good to see you but where’s Miss Haruko?”

“Oh, she left me with this message: I’ve left to join my uncle’s crew and I never want to see your face again.”

“How could she, I promised her I would come back, and she said she would wait.”

“Maybe it’s because you came four months and eight days late.”

“Well she was never the most patient of women of this land.”

While Cutler was living a life of paper, grief, good business, and what not. Kimi had a life of steeling, bar fights, rum, acting like a man, pillaging, and plundering. She didn’t once think about the past she just thought about the future and present. Before she knew it she was first mate on the ship The Trojan Then she met the most notorious pirate in the seven seas Jack Sparrow. She fell head over heels in love. Only one problem: everyone in the whole world thought Cat’s Eye was a man so she couldn’t tell him or any one.

A few years later, about thirteen to be exact, she’s captain of her own ship Heracles. One day a stranger washed up in a life boat and after her crew pulled him in, he said “Cat’s Eye it is your time to retire, you have one year to live says I.” that’s when she realizes it’s her dear uncle she tells him about how she has a curse placed upon her how she will live forever if she finds her true love before she turns twenty-eight, for she is only twenty-five, she also tells him it was the man who sent him who put this curse on her. He admits to making a mistake and corrects himself. Then he disappears.
A few months later there’s another stranger but this time it is the only man that has ever swayed her heart since Cutler.

“Are you okay?”

“Thanks, and I’m fine. Are you the captain of this fine vessel?”

“Aye that be me. Why?”

“Just curious. There seems to be a secret among the crew.”

“Don’t mind them; they’re just a wee bit suspicious.”

“Aye; any rum?”

“Aye; you there, Mr. Coutts, get this man some rum!”

“Aye, aye captain sir!”

Coutts comes back with the rum and all the crew finally realize who this man is. Captain Jack Sparrow. They begin to see the series of events that have become daily for their captain and Jack.

First: Jack starts sleeping with the captain. Second: the captain starts acting like a woman. Third: the captain starts drinking more than he used to.

There have been rumors the captain was… yeah. But now there are even more people that confirm it the crew even started asking the first mate, Mr. Lee, they even ask Jack.
“Ok they think I’m ‘it’ do they Mr. Lee, well do you think it’s time?”

“That would be the obvious choice captain, unless you want to be known as the ‘it’ captain.”
“Ok. Head for land!”

“Head for land, men!!!”

So they headed for land. When they got there:
“Alright men you wanna know if I’m ‘it’ do you? Well I’m actually a woman so how can I be ‘it’ with a man?!!!”

“I knew it I knew the captain was a woman!” yelled Coutts.

“And I’m engaged to Jack Sparrow!”
